Tonia Leiann Hinsley, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m.

Don Shovan and John Purviance will be officiating the service.

Tonia was born on August 13, 1970, in Berlin, Germany to Larry Dale and Nelda Jo (Burns) Hinsley. She won the highest award in Girl’s Scouts with the Gold Award and was president of the youth softball and basketball leagues in Mount Vernon, Texas. She enjoyed scuba diving.

Tonia was involved with the American Cancer Society and the Crime Board in Bogata.

Survivors include her daughter, Lauren Epps and Brandon Maroney; son, Dalton and Katon Trantham; parents, Larry and Jo Hinsley; sister, Kathy and Shad Kipfer; four granddaughters and two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; a nephew, Mark Kipfer and numerous cousins and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to American Breast Cancer Association or to Chambers Hospice.
