The Detroit Lady Eagles earned a playoff spot Tuesday with a seven-hit, fiverun season closeout, pounding the Fruitvale Lady Bobcats 5-1.

Detroit hitting was led by Kayleigh Griggs (.333) with three hits, two RBIs and a run. Pitcher Hannah Johnson added her second home run of the season as Layla Noe (.320), Cheyenne Snodgrass (.179), and Kora Nix (.2940 provided hits to score runs by all of the above plus Madison Gaddis (.190).

The Lady Eagles will enter the first round against Harleton there at 6 p.m. on Friday. Game 2 is scheduled at Winnsboro on Saturday at 2 p.m. Game 3, if needed, will immediately following Game 2.
