The fishing duo of PorterSouth and Ely Peckham will represent the Winnsboro fishing team at theTexas High School Bass Association State Tournament set for May 20-21 on Lake Sam Rayburn. South and Peckham, both freshmen, qualified out of theApril 15 regional tournament held at Cedar Creek Reservoir. The duo placed fourth out of 216 boats afterweighing a full bag of five fish for14.74 pounds.As a top 10 finisher in the Northeast Division during the regular season, South and Peckham will also join teammates Hayden Potts and Carston Moore and Skeet Brumley and Slayton Hood in the Angler of the Year tournament on Saturday, June 24, on Lake Palestine.
