After a recent meeting, a coworker mentioned that she and her family had bought a new home. Actually, it was new to them, but it was built in 1963 in what was then and is still now one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods.

National Museum of the Vietnam War

Body
I have seen The National Vietnam War Museum grow from a vacant lot with a mobile home on it to an impressive complex of weapons, vehicles and artifacts from the Vietnam War. The museum is located between Mineral Wells and Weatherford near Fort Wolters where helicopter pilots trained. The war was known as the helicopter war. A 20,000 square feet building Is full of exhibits and a similar structure is planned for the future. Ean Tillett is the museum’s first fulltime curator. He brings years of experience with some outstanding museums. A hiking trail surrounds the museum.

kitch [ kich ] noun Art, decorative objects and other forms of representation of questionable artistic or aesthetic value; a representation that is excessively sentimental, overdone, or vulgar. ~ Dictionary.com Whenever I see canister sets, cookie jars, clocks and Formica dinette sets from the 50s and 60s, I feel as if I’ve gone home. These items adorned my youth, but as often happens, new things come and old things go.
