PACE financing enables owners of commercial and industrial properties to get longer-term loans that would help conserve water and energy resources.

Commissioners approved Governor Gregg Abbott announcing March as Development Disabilities Awareness month in Tuesday’s meeting. The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD) encourages people to connect with their neighbors with developmental disabilities (DD) and to help create more inclusive communities across the state.

Clarksville Police drama continues

The discontent over Clarksville Police Sergeant Jerry Goodson’s Facebook posting and subsequential suspension continued into Tuesday night’s City Council meeting and beyond. Tuesday night, Goodson made an address to council, followed by a council vote to allow Chief Mark Gable to return to work, an order Wednesday morning not to allow Goodson to return to work, a meeting between Mayor Ann Rushing and several council members about Goodson, the closing down of city hall for Wednesday afternoon due to “safety precautions,” ending Wednesday afternoon when Goodson was fired by Rushing and council members.
