The annual Easter in the Park event attracted between 600 and 800 children and adults last Saturday. The Easter Bunny welcomed everyone to the event and stayed for visits and photos with children.

Artists Christopher Wayne Brown and Jaci Mouser of the Winnsboro chapter of Wood County Walls led a group of volunteer painters who stopped by Saturday morning to help create the background for a new mural at 206 Market Street. It resulted in quite a display of bold, bright colors.
