Requests for interviews of last week’s trio of fleeing forgery suspects continue as the width and breath of their suspected illegal activities become more widely known. A request was approved for Mauricio Arellano Monday to place a mobile home on the lot on Rozell Street between Milano’s Pizza and the fire department in Bogata. Arellano, who currently lives in Pattonville, planned to open a tire shop in Bogata and hoped living closer would speed up his progress.
The monthly meeting of the Red River County Genealogical Society is set for Monday night, March 11, at 7 p.m at the Chamber of Commerce meeting room in Clarksville. Bill Covington of Waxahachie is to present the program “Revolutionary War Veterans Buried in Texas”, and will feature the few that are buried in Red River County.
First responders in Red River County met last week to share plans in the event of disaster occurring during the solar eclipse happening in one month. “We’re really not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill,” Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator Jake Brockett said.
