Clarksville ISD officials reviewed the district’s 2021-22 report card Tuesday which showed areas of student growth as well as areas in need of improvement. The Texas Academic Performance Reports, or TAPR, breaks the performance of students down into groups, including ethnicity and socioeconomic status.

Airport master plan taking off The Winnsboro Economic Development Corporation met in regular session this past Tuesday, February 6. Items on the agenda included the Winnsboro airport master plan, a request for funds regarding a mural for MLK Park, city preparation for the upcoming solar eclipse and changing the date of future regular meetings.

Former NHL player Mike Ribeiro was acquitted last week of charges of sexual assault. After more than 12 hours of deliberation, State District Judge Eddie Northcutt declared a mistrial on the attempted sexual assault charge as the jury found Ribeiro not guilty on the other two cases of sexual assault.
