Delilah Belle Gillispie Willingham (90) departed this life on August 20, 2023. She was born on May 17, 1933, in Pickton, Texas, to the late Troy and Minnie Lee (Brown) Gillispie.

Jerry Thurman Smith of Hagansport, Texas passed away at home on July 25, 2023. He was born on September 5, 1940, to Thurman William and Bessie Rachel Smith, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother Donald Ray Smith, daughter Peggy Smith and a granddaughter, Kassie Cervantez. He married Nancy Gieger Smith on December 29, 1979.

Mary Elaine Adams, age 87, of Talco, Texas passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Elaine was born on January 25, 1936, in Franklin County, Texas to H.H.

Roy Bolin Cunningham, age 91 years, of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, in Mount Vernon surrounded by his loving family. Visitation was on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Sam B.

The family of Susan Jane Hughston, beloved sister, aunt, and friend to all, are saddened to announce her death on July 29, 2023 after a long illness. Susan was born February 12,1947 in Clarksville to Eugenia Milan Hughston and Thomas Ross Hughston. She was raised in Clarksville and graduated from Clarksville High School in 1965, where she played in the band and was also a cheerleader. She was thrilled to attend Texas Christian University in Fort Worth where she made many lifelong friends and was introduced to Joe T. Garcia’s, which was a favorite place for the rest of her life. Upon graduation in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree, she spent several years as a medical technologist at Wadley Blood Bank in Dallas. She moved back to her beloved Clarksville in 1980 to work at Red River National Bank as Vice President and Cashier. In 1990 she joined the business office at the Clarksville Independent School District, from which she retired. She resided in her family home until her death.

Robert H. Spearman (Bob) passed away on July 6, 2023, at the age of 95. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Agnes (Mert) Spearman and grandson, Michael Paxton Spearman. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Moore and husband George; his son, Robert Roy and wife Mignon; grandchildren, Brian Moore and wife Denise; Miranda Wilkerson and husband Brad; great-grandchildren, Reese Moore, Evan Wilkerson, Leslie Piazza and her daughter, Londyn; and sister Polly Frisbee, husband Warren and their children. He is also survived by his special feline companion, Midnight.

Leslie Regina Johnson, of Hugh Springs, Texas, passed away on July 12, 2023, at her home. Leslie was born on March 5, 1950, in Raymondville, Texas to Lester Thomas Craft and Juanita New.

Marleah Joyce Drew, age 75, of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at her residence. Marleah was born January 26, 1948, in Red River County to James Robert and Hazel Strain Westbrook.

Mrs. Ernestine Simms Starling, age 103 of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023, peacefully at her home under the watch of her caretakers Rev.

H.L. Henry, of Scroggins, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 91.
